Kodaikanal is one of the most popular tourist destinations in South India. It is on the southern summit of the upper Palani ranges, at a height of 2133 meters msl., with the Parappar and Gundar valleys flanking it on either side.

It has a cool and salubrious climate all throughout the year, varying between 8 and 20 degrees C. The Kodaikanal lake, with a 5 KM circumference, created in the 1860s, is the nucleus around which the town is flourishing with a constant inflow of casual tourists, nature lovers, wild life enthusiasts, eco-tourists, adventure lovers, etc.
